Pete shares the latest trends from the Chelsea Flower Show 2017

Pete, our plant expert, made his annual trip to the Chelsea Flower Show this year to find out the latest gardening trends. Gardens were more informal this year and many gardeners would be able to spot elements of their own gardens at home within the beautiful show gardens. Areas of wild flowers, mixed borders and traditional herbaceous borders were present in many of the displays, giving a popular ‘Cottage Garden’ effect. Topiary plants were very popular, with many of the exhibits using topiary as the main feature structure. The use of water was a familiar sight and was highlighted as a key feature in many display gardens. From relaxing waterfalls and water features, to ponds with colourful aquatic plants, inspiration wasn’t in short supply for those who want to include water in their own garden. Were you inspired by any of the Chelsea Show gardens? Come and see Pete and the team for all the plants and advice you need.
